Citation Generators

Use any of these links to create citations in a particular format.  Be sure to choose the proper style (MLA, APA, etc) and material type (electronic journal, website, book, etc).  CAUTION: YOU are responsible for ensuring that your citations are formatted correctly.  These tools will help you, but are not perfect!  

  • KnightCite  
    An online citation generator service provided by the Hekman Library of Calvin College. Register for free to store citations for different projects and create bibliographies.
  • EasyBib  
    Easy to use and free.
  • RefWorks  
    Helps you to gather, manage, store and share all types of information, as well as generate citations and bibliographies. Create an individual account to use. Your computer may warn you that this is not a trusted site. It is! Just click on "trust content."

    **Off campus users may be asked for a "Subscriber Group Code" -- Aquinas' is RWAquinasC.
 
 

Attention!

Both MLA and APA citation styles changed a little bit in the summer of 2009.  Be sure to ask your instructors whether or not they require the new format.  All links provided in this page reflect the new rules.  Questions?  AskUs or call the library at - 632-2140.
