Helpful D&D Vocabulary
Here is a list of common D&D terms that you're most likely to encounter.
- 5e: Most play with the 5th Edition of D&D. When looking up helpful guides and hints make sure they are part of this 5th edition. If your not sure make sure to ask your DM.
- Character Class: A character's class determines the skills and abilities a character can have. Standard 5e characters include barbarian, bard, cleric, druid, fighter, monk, paladin, ranger, rouge, sorcerer, and wizard. To learn more about character class visit D&D Beyond.
- Character Race: A character's race, similar to their class, determines certain abilities and skills that are character can have. Standard 5e races are Dwarf, elf, halfling, half-efl, half-orc, human, and gnome. To learn more about character race visit D&D Beyond.
- DM: A DM is the Dungeon Master. She or he is responsible for leading the campaign. When your not sure of something ask your DM.
