Our building is currently open to current Aquinas students, faculty, and staff. We ask that community members and alumni without “essential business” refrain from visiting to ensure the safest experience for all.
Aquinas policy requires that masks be worn indoors on the AQ campus. Masks must be worn at all times when inside the library - even if you are sitting alone at a work table!
Seating capacity in the Grace Hauenstein Library has been reduced to allow for social distancing. Because the furniture is spaced to accommodate social distancing, please refrain from moving furniture during your visit.
Study Rooms will be limited to 1 person.
Course reserves will be available. Anyone checking out reserves or other materials for library use only will be required to sanitize their hands before and after use. This includes physical course reserve materials, headphones, phone chargers, and whiteboard markers. Materials with longer checkout periods will be guaranteed for 3 days.
Returned books will be quarantined for more than 72 hours before they are checked in, so they will still show as checked out for more than 72 hours after you return them (you will not be charged late fines for these days). This quarantine is less labor intensive and less damaging to materials than sanitizing each item individually, with equally effective results.
Books can be returned without coming into the library at the book drop outside the main entrance of the library.
